The government's Security Media Cell announced today, Tuesday, that the Green Zone was bombed by four missiles, which damaged a residential complex.

The cell said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency,"The Green Zone in Baghdad was bombed by four missiles that fell in the residential complex."The cell added thatthe bombing "caused damage to the complex, as the place of its launch was from the Al-Habiba and Al-Baladiyat areas, east of the capital."

A security source had reported earlier today that the Green Zone was bombed by Katyusha rockets.The source told Shafaq News Agency, that as a result of the bombing, the American embassy activated the sirens without knowing more details.
