#MyExperienceAtIIITBโThe ages of 17 to 22 is a period of significant personal and professional growth. I had the fortunate opportunity to experience these transformative years at IIIT Bangalore as a student of the Integrated Masters Program. The coursework at IIITB was rigorous and effective, offering fundamental courses such as DSA, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and Math for ML. These courses were taught with great clarity and proved beneficial during interviews. One of the most appealing aspects of the IIITB curriculum was the flexibility provided in choosing electives. This autonomy allowed me and my friends to explore courses unrelated to engineering, such as Non-Linear Dynamics and Astronomy. Additionally, the professors at IIITB employed innovative evaluation methods such as presentations, mandates, projects, open-book tests, and even Kaggle contests, deviating from the conventional pen-paper exams. The projects I undertook as part of my coursework and under the guidance of various professors enabled me to develop a research resume, opening doors to numerous national and international research opportunities. IIITB nurtured a research mindset and provided extensive support and encouragement for students aspiring to pursue careers in research. The professors, curriculum, alumni network, mentorship from seniors, and the institute's support in terms of conference grants, resources, and scholarships all contributed to fostering this research-oriented environment. In terms of personal growth, I owe a great deal to the instructive, inspiring, and nurturing friends I made at IIITB. With a relatively small population, I had the chance to engage in various extracurricular activities and even establish new clubs. I actively participated in the sports committee, women's basketball team, induction committee, TEDx organizing committee, and debate society. I volunteered at a shelter home for girls and assisted during sports and cultural festivals, which taught me essential skills for life.Throughout my time at IIITB, I firmly believed in exploring diverse paths and following my passions. IIITB and its people wholeheartedly supported me in this regard, regardless of how many times my passions and paths changedโ-Arpitha Malavalli, IMTech, Class of 2023For details about IMTech:https://lnkd.in/g3JvrmT#IIITBangalore #Testimonials #StudentSpeak #iMTech #Experience

#MyExperienceAtIIITBโMy time at IIITB was incredibly enriching. I have found the quality of peers, professors and the entire ecosystem over here to be really great. The culture and environment at IIITB motivate students to explore diverse activities. This fosters leadership skills and encourages students to start clubs aligned with their passion, be it academic or recreational. I was fortunate to be a part of various clubs, events and initiatives started by me and few other students. While some events like TEDxIIITBangalore taught me organization skills, some others like ZenseCTF made me realise the fun in community building. ZenseCTF was a small set of cybersecurity enthusiasts and we tried to build a community by participating and organising security themed hackathons. I would be lying, if I said that all the experiences worked out well, but I firmly believe that these setbacks served as valuable lessons and we collectively strived to improve upon them.I believe trying out a lot of new things, through clubs or courses, has helped me a lot. The way courses are structured at IIITB infact helps you to make career-oriented decisions. There are various courses that can help you with these, be it engineering, management, philosophy or neuroscience. The best part of IIITB is that it promotes experimentation. This has helped me realize both, the things that interest me and the things that don't interest me.Overall, I am immensely grateful to everyone at IIITB for the incredible five years, for providing me with invaluable life lessons and helping me grow professionally and as a person tooโ- Sai Rithwik M, IMTech, Class of 2023For details about IMTech:https://lnkd.in/g3JvrmT#IIITBangalore #Testimonials #StudentSpeak #iMTech #Experience

I am thrilled to share that I've officially graduated from the prestigious Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. My college experience at IIIT Delhi has been a transformative ride, reminding me that our past does not define our future. Let me share a personal story from my college days.In my 1st semester, the first computer science course they taught was Introduction to Programming. Coming straight out of my school with no knowledge about programming, I faced difficulty adjusting to this new, rapid, and competitive college environment, and I had a major setback - a daunting 'F' grade in this course. Instead of letting it defeat me, I decided to use it as a stepping stone for growth. I poured my heart and soul into my studies, learned from my mistakes, and emerged stronger. The result? I retook that course, and not only did I turn that 'F' into an 'A,' but I also became the Teaching Assistant for the very course I initially struggled with. I am now stepping into the field of software engineering with the renowned company Walmart. My story is a testament to the idea that our past can't shackle our future. With perseverance and unwavering belief, we can achieve incredible things.Your journey is your own, and your potential knows no bounds. Let my story be a reminder: Let me know your proud college stories in the comments if you have any. #btech #graduated #ece #convocation #walmart #iiitd #classof2023 #enginner

๐ Importance of Choosing the Right Educational Institution ๐Strong note : This post is not from GPT Model but corrected grammatical errors with such to leverage it.Reflecting back on my educational journey, I realize the profound impact that institutions like IIT, IIM, and NIT have on shaping not just careers, but mindsets towards innovation and excellence. While I didn't have the guidance to pursue opportunities there, I've come to understand their pivotal role in fostering groundbreaking ideas and the importance of JEE(AIEEE), NCAT, VITEEE, BITSAT and etcโฆMy experience at the institution which I studied as valuable, and I'm grateful for the education I received. However, recognizing the transformative potential of top institutions, I feel compelled to share insights for parents and students alike.Choosing the right educational environment isn't just about prestige; it's about embracing a culture that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Surrounding oneself with individuals who inspire and challenge is key to personal and professional growth.I encourage parents to consider not just the name but the ethos of an institution when guiding their children's educational journey. Let's empower the next generation to make informed choices that align with their aspirations and values.Remember, our surroundings influence our mindset and actions. By fostering environments rich in learning and innovation, we pave the way for a brighter future.#Education #Innovation #Empowerment #NextGeneration #ChooseWisely #indianstudies

Finally graduated from IIIT Delhi with a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. As I look back at these 4 years, I feel I learned a lot, not just technically but also about myself. I joined college thinking that I would get a 9+ CGPA, be the most obedient student, and crack a great placement. As time passed, I realised that I was more excited about algorithms. I started competitive programming at the end of my 1st semester and continued doing it till the very last semester.Until class 12th, I was only trying to be better at things that everyone else around me was doing. But in college, this completely changed. I was not competing with anybody else but with myself. I started a youtube channel too around the 3rd semester. I used to skip classes to make videos and practice CP contests. It was at this point that I started to figure out my interests.Around the 5th semester, I started doing bare minimum when it came to college assignments, lectures, etc. I even dropped a course (Machine Learning) in my 5th semester because it became impossible to manage everything. I don't recommend doing all this but what I do recommend is to find what you love doing and try to find time to do that. The funniest thing is that the same Priyansh who didn't like startups in 1st semester did his final BTech project in Entrepreneurship. Yes, TLE Eliminators is my final BTP. I am absolutely grateful to IIITD for providing me with an opportunity to do something I was passionate about. In the end I would just say I don't regret a single decision I made in college because all those decisions were not driven by what society wanted me to do but rather, what I wanted to do. I joined college as a lost soul and am also leaving as the same lost soul but with the courage to take tough decisions. Thank you IIITD.#graduation #engineering #btech #iiitdelhi #2023batch
